Managing In-Progress and completed Jobs
In this section, you will learn how to manage in progress and completed jobs namely retrying failed jobs, and searching, filtering, and sorting jobs in various ways.
Retrying Failed Jobs
In case, a job fails the ingestion process you can restart the ingestion process.
To retry ingestion process, do the following:

Click the File Manager module.

Search and locate the failed job, and then click the Retry button to restart the ingestion process.

The job will be first queued in the Queued tab, and then move to the In-Progress/Completed tab.
Searching In-Progress/Completed Jobs
Imagine there are hundreds of jobs in queue within your environment or tenant, including those initiated by you and your team members. With the search feature, you can now easily find a specific job to view the status, change the priority, or delete the job.
To search for a specific in-progress or completed job, do the following:
- Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.
The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.
- In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the In-Progress/Completed tab, type the partial or full name of the queued job that you want to find in the Search box.

The platform starts displaying the search results as you type.
- Click a job and proceed to view the priority, change the priority, or permanently delete the job from the queue.
Filtering In-Progress/Completed Jobs
Filter and view ingestion jobs with username of the uploader and the date-time of the upload.
Filtering by Uploader
View jobs by the username of the uploader.
To filter by username of the uploader, do the following:
- Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.
The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.

In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the In-Progress/Completed tab, click the Filter icon. The Jobs Filter dialog box is displayed.

In the Jobs Filter dialog box, click the Uploaded by drop-down list, then select the checkbox(es) of the username(s) whose jobs you want to view.

The platform displays jobs run by the users you selected in the preceding step.
Filtering by Date Range
View jobs by the date range they were uploaded in the platform.
To filter by date range, do the following:
- Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.
The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.
- In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the In-Progress/Completed tab, click the Filter icon.
The Jobs Filter dialog box is displayed.
- In the Jobs Filter dialog box, click the Date Range drop-down list, and then select the specific date range for which you want to view jobs.

The platform displays jobs that were run within the selected date range.
Filtering by Status (In Progress, Completed, Failed)
You can filter jobs by status using the In Progress, Completed, and Failed buttons at the top of the list.
To filter job by status, do the following:

Click the In-Progress/Completed tab

Click any one of the job status buttons (In Progress, Completed, and Failed) to filter and view only job of a particular status.

Sorting In-Progress/Completed Jobs
Sort and view jobs in ascending or descending order for Status, Uploader, and Upload Time columns in the Queued tab.
Sorting by Status
If you have several jobs in your environment or tenant, you can easily sort the queue in either ascending or descending order.
To sort by status, do the following:
- Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.
The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.
- In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the In-Progress/Completed tab, click the Status column to sort jobs in ascending or descending order.
Sorting by Uploaded By
If you have several jobs in your environment or tenant, you can easily sort the queue by username in either ascending or descending order.
To sort by uploader, do the following:
- Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.
The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.
- In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the In-Progress/Completed tab, click the Uploaded By column to sort jobs in ascending or descending order.
Sorting by Upload At
If you have several jobs in your environment or tenant, you can easily sort the queue by uploaded time in either ascending or descending order.
To sort by Upload Time, do the following:
- Click the Data module, and then click the Ingestion Jobs sub-module.
The Ingestion Jobs page is displayed.
- In the Ingestion Jobs page, under the In-Progress/Completed tab, click the Upload At column to sort jobs in ascending or descending order.
Deleting an Ingested File
If you need to remove a file after ingestion:
To delete a file, do the following:

Click the File Manager module.

Search and locate the file.
-
Click the Delete button of the file to remove the file.
The system will permanently remove the file from the platform.
In other words, the dataset will NOT be available at any of the following locations:

The workspace (if the dataset was uploaded locally to a workspace)
-
The Explore Module
-
The File Manager Module
-
In-Progress/Completed tab.
